Meet Our Principal

Hello!

My name is Lindsey Boone, and I am thrilled to be starting my first year as the Principal of Krum Middle School.  I began my teaching career in Krum ISD in 2005, served as a school counselor for several years, and have most recently wrapped up my ninth year as the Principal of Dyer Elementary.  This community, the school district employees, and our amazing students play a huge role in keeping my fire lit as an educator, and I am so humbled to continue being a part of Krum ISD in a new capacity. 

Krum is not only special to me, but my family bleeds blue as well.  My husband and I moved our family here in 2007, and never looked back.  I am proud to share that all three of our sons are recent Krum graduates.  We can confidently say that the education they received was second to none, and they were prepared for the next chapter of their lives thanks to to high quality educators they had each year; from elementary through their high school years.      

As a mother, educator, counselor, and administrator, I am passionate about educating the whole child.  This is exceptionally important during the middle school years.  At Krum Middle School, our students will know that the educators who work with them each day believe in them, care deeply about who they are as individuals, will help them set personal goals for themselves, provide them with the highest quality education possible, and encourage them to see how their individuals strengths and differences contribute positively to the world around them.  Our theme for the 2024-25 school year is "It's going to be EPIC".  While this will be a fun theme to carry throughout the year, it also carries deeper meaning within it.

We value the partnerships we have with our students' families, and encourage you to actively participate in your child's middle school years.  When our home-school relationships are strong and supportive, the young people we serve each day are the ones who win.  Please don't ever hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all.  My door is always open, and I am always just a quick phone call or email away.  I am looking forward to reuniting with former students and families, and equally excited to get to know those of you I have not had the pleasure of working with before.
